It’s the time of year when Mother Nature doesn’t know if it’s still winter or spring yet. The fluctuating temperature and weather patterns can lead to our bodies to get sick. Fun! Fun!

Here is a very yummy recipe, original posted on stepin2mygreenworld.com that is great at combatting that pesky flu bug.

Ginger:
This potent spice is great for the immune system, and can also treat motion sickness and nausea.

Lemons:
There may not be a more alkalizing food than lemons. It is great for overall immune health and helps flush toxins from the body by making the liver more efficient.

Oranges:
These delicious citrus fruits are one of the best sources for vitamin C, which is believed to bolster the immune system.

Directions:

Process the following ingredients in a blender:

1-inch piece of ginger
2 oranges
1/2 a lemon, juiced
1 cup of filtered water or coconut water

Make sure ingredients are organic
Enjoy this flu busting orange ginger smoothie!
